Data Observability for MongoDB
[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”327″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Like a lot of data people, we love working on products in MongoDB. MongoDB’s implicit schema is extremely helpful for fast database design and iteration. Unfortunately, the implicit schema can come back to bite us. Fortunately, Data Culpa Validator can help.
Validator can ensure consistency of schema and types in MongoDB fields, even across arrays and deeply nested objects within documents. We slice and dice the hierarchical structure in a variety of ways, giving your team instant understanding and “drill down” across the data objects.
Our open-source MongoDB connector can be used to process a subset of the database or the whole thing; we automatically map MongoDB collections to Validator watchpoints and build consistency models over time. You can configure fields to infer data information on a record; by default we will extract the timestamp information from the “_id” field on the object.
We alarm on mixed types out of the box. It’s easy to make a type mistake and it can be challenging to uncover.
Our open-source connector can be used with a MongoDB replica to isolate production services from additional load.
